Ok, I have some serious catching up to do. I need to document my trip to Michigan, our visit with Dick's parents and the kids' second birthday. But that will take some doing... and right now I just have time for some short stories.
Dick was working on the bathroom remodel this weekend and Jackson was interested in seeing what he was doing. Jackson went into the bathroom to check it out and Dick said, "Hey, good buddy." And then, of course, Jackson said it back, "Hey, good buddy!" It was very cute. :-)
Yesterday, Dick and I were both working on the bathroom (see why my blogging is suffering!?) The kids were slowly waking from their naps and I was buying my time to see how much I could get done before going in and getting them out of their cribs (not that I was enjoying applying epoxy grout!) They started getting more and more talkative, giggly and then downright rowdy! From what I could hear, they were taking turns going "boing" which means jumping up, throwing their feet in front of themselves and then landing on the mattress on their buns! Jackson must have been doing it first because I would hear him say "boing," hear him hit the mattress, hear them both laughing and then hear Veronica say, "again!?"
They are interacting more and more every day - and not just biting! ;-) They talk to each other, share toys, express empathy when the other is upset and even give each other hugs!
More blogging (including pictures) to come.

Too cute!! You've got to try and get video of them 'boing'-ing :D
ReplyDeleteLove watching their progress. And I agree, it's hard keeping up with blogging and I don't even have 2 year olds :)
