This happens periodically and happened again tonight. We put the kids to bed and they were playing and playing. I went into their room to gently remind them that they should be quiet and try to lay down and sleep. Jackson was playing with a marble that he was making a "bed" for. Veronica had one white sock on and two princess shoes and told me her foot was injured because a train had run over it! :-)
I told the kids they needed to be quiet and try to sleep, and that if I had to come in again to quiet them that I would take the marble and the princess shoes out of the room.
A little while later I walked by their door and saw that Jackson had ejected the marble. He will often do that. Or one or both will willingly hand me their toy even though I'm not planning to take it. They are good kids!

Randy and I always wondered if other kids did that! Sometimes we hear Olivia's door open and close, but she puts herself back to bed. There is always a stuffed animal that has been kicked out of her room for the night. It cracks us up every time.
