The tree is up! Santa has been met!

The tree is not yet decorated, but it's up. The kids thought it was cool the first time they saw it, now they're not really bothering with it. So that's good! Once it has lights and decorations they'll probably be a little more interested, though.

We went to Lunch with Santa at the YMCA today. :-) The kids were pretty good while we ate. Then they wanted to be up and around. Somehow Jackson, never having seen a Hershey's kiss before in his life, knew they were food and kept trying to eat them, wrapper and all! Both he and Veronica also thought crayons were food..? Go figure. What is it about crayons? I thought they might be interested in coloring but, no, not at all!

We checked out Santa from a distance quite a bit. They both seemed pretty interested in him and the activity around him. When it was our turn to meet him up close, they were less interested! Here is a pictorial:

Jackson's done and leaving without getting too close. Veronica's nervous about not being able to see Santa because he's behind her.

Santa's helper tried putting Jackson on Santa's lap but it was a no-go. See the side of his crying face? Looks like Santa is gesturing, "I didn't do it!" Either that or, "Shut up or I'll slap you."
