I'm back!

I've thought of so many things to blog about the past month since I've been MIA! So much has gone on! The main reason I've been missing from the blogosphere is because we moved! We are now settled in our new house, with most of our unpacking done. We don't own it yet! It's a very slow and frustrating process... but eventually, supposedly, we'll own this house (with a lot of help from Citimortgage!) Right now, we're renting it.

The move was tiring! There was about a week that was tough! The last day at the old house was crazy, and the first few days in the new house were a little crazy. But we made it! It only took a few days for the kids to be very comfortable here. They really never looked back. They've never asked about "going home" or asked about the old house. When we pull up to the new house though, they do often call it "new house." We talked about the "new house" for a few weeks before we moved. But they're doing great! They know the way to the park. They've been sleeping great. They do get a little confused here. The house is not huge by any means, but Veronica has gotten confused a few times about what direction to go to get to a certain room... it's cute!

What sucked the most about moving: not getting phone, tv or internet for over a week because AT&T and Direct TV SUCK! Getting these services set up probably took me over 10 hours of phone calls! It was absolutely RIDICULOUS!

Best things about our new house: more bathrooms! It's super quiet - carpet on a concrete slab instead of wood floors on a crawl space - big difference. Our neighborhood is GREAT - we probably know half the neighbors already! During the superbowl halftime there was a ball game out in the street. :-)

Anyway, I better call this a blog entry and be done. Here are some photos.

We live by a lake with a 5-mile paved path around it. The kids got helmets so we could go biking there!
The kids rode in a bike trailer we borrowed from a new neighbor.

This is a pond near the house, right next to our giant library! We fed the ducks, hiked
and threw rocks there a few days ago.

  1. Your new neighborhood sounds fabulous!! Randy & Shannon live in a similar hood where there are lots of kids and adults in the same stage of life. Love that you have a 5 mile path around the lake. What a great way to get some exercise.
