How in the world did Jackson and Veronica turn three already!? Their birthday was last Sunday, August 14. We had a small birthday party with grandma and grandpa Rol who were in town (more on that later). It was a very nice time. :-)
I wanted everyone to take a walk at Lake Miramar in the morning so I wanted to wait to celebrate the kids' birthday in the afternoon so they didn't want to stay home playing with new toys instead of going to the lake. So in the morning I woke the kids and sang Happy Birthday to them. Jackson got out of bed and was looking around asking "where's my birthday?" I think he was looking for the balloons, cake and presents! Poor kid... I told him we would have a party later and he was mostly ok with that. I felt a little bad... So after their nap we had streamers, balloons, confetti, cake and presents waiting for them!
They had a nice time and enjoyed their new toys.
Tomorrow we're having their first kid party! I won a party at an indoor playplace in a silent auction a few months ago. :-) I still have to kick in funds for the food, plates, etc. It's not cheap having a birthday party! The kids should have a blast tho, I hope! Our themes are Thomas the Tank Engine and Hello Kitty. I brought home the Hello Kitty balloon today and Veronica thought it was pretty darling. We had the Thomas one from last weekend and we'll get him refreshed with some new helium. We can't wait!
