I don't like this new blogger by the way... not used to it yet...
I haven't posted in a long time. Facebook is so EASY... But I don't feel like it's a long term scrapbook that I will be able to look back on later. Like I hope this blog is...
So I'm going to try to post here more often.
Today was a very pleasant day. This morning we had a nice breakfast then met with a new, potential babysitter. The kids seemed to like her. I did too for the most part. She sounds like she's really good with kids. But a few things she said makes me think she is getting a little burnt out with taking care of kids. She's probably great tho and comes highly recommended.
After that the four of us went to Dixieline to look at interior doors. Then home for lunch and nap. While the kids slept, I was productive and then relaxed a little. Dick went to work and then out for the evening.
So the kids and I were on our own for the afternoon/evening. After nap we did some pruning in the front yard and replaced our flag (took the bunny down and put the pineapple up). We cut some flowers to bring inside.
Then we moved to the backyard where the kids played in water/soap while I picked up dog poop, fertilized the lawn and then watered.
We had a nice dinner then I gave the kids a bath. Instead of going upstairs like we usually do, I let them bathe in the downstairs bath. I haven't done this before because the bathtub has sliding shower doors which makes it hard to get to them. But when I bathe them upstairs, I can't walk away because I don't want them to be too far out of sight. Downstairs, I could do the dishes in the kitchen while they bathed because it's only a few feet away and I can hear and see everything they do. :-) So that was cool. And I could close the shower doors and they can splash away!
The kids are still playing in bed. They'll settle down eventually. I hope.

I like my windows live writer for doing blog posts. It pulls my blog template down from blogger and then I just type away. When done, just click publish and it upload the post to blogger. It is too simplistic sometimes - less frills to choose from, but makes it easy to post. Welcome back home.
