IKEA has a day care where you can leave your kids to play - for free - while you shop. So as part of my "preschool training program!" ;-) I was planning to leave them there yesterday for a while with a friend's kids.
As we were walking through the parking lot I told the kids I was going to leave them in the day care while Ms. Andrea and I shopped, and that they would have lots of fun things to do and Lauren and Molly (my friend's kids) and other kids to play with.
And Jackson says to me, "Mommy, I just want to play with you." SO SWEET! Made my heart melt... :-)
It's hard to remember sometimes that at this age, they still just really get excited about being with and playing with mommy and daddy. And of course, they seek my comfort when something new or scary is going on.
Preshool starts next week! Wednesday kids and parents go for up to two hours to see the room, meet the teacher and other kids. Then Friday is their first full day!! (8:30-12:30)
