Jackson and Veronica were super comfortable with grandma... Grandma makes things fun. :-) We had a great combination of playing tourist, just hanging out all together, and alone time for the kids and grandma while I worked.
We actually had some really hot weather and so, grandma and I took the kids to the beach! Jackson and Veronica were not that interested in the water but they really enjoyed playing in the sand, digging and watching the nearby construction equipment working!
Grandma and I found ourselves back at the beach a few days later visiting open houses! Grandma likes to look at potential homes to buy for when she wins the lottery. So we found some very nice places in La Jolla that will only take between $800k and $3.2 million to purchase!
Grandma and I also took the kids to the San Diego Zoo. That was fun as J & V are finally old enough to enjoy it. They were troopers considering we kept pretty busy all week!
I worked half a day Friday and Monday so grandma could have the kids all to herself. J & V were very good kids, and they all enjoyed each others' company! Grandma also babysat while daddy and I had a double-date with some friends. :-)
On her last day here, grandma accompanied us on the kids' first dentist appointment. Both J & V did great! They both got their teeth polished and got a flouride treatment!

Looks like a very fun week :) Maggie just had her first dental cleaning last week and wouldn't stop talking about it!
ReplyDeletewho would have ever thought that you'd have 'blonde' babies? They are adorable. Love the dentist visit. Glad you Mom got out there for a visit. It's got to be hard having grandchildren spread out over the country. I would like mine closer. ;)
ReplyDeleteI know, who are these blondies!? I've always thought my kids would have dark brown hair... Dick was a very blond kid so I guess that's where J and V got it!
