Pretty much every time I change Veronica's diaper, after I put her clean diaper on, she head's off the pass by saying, "no pants!" It's very cute the way she says it... As long as we're not heading out the door, I let her run around with no pants! Same goes for "no socks!" :-)
She is also a "big girl" now and no longer needs the lid on her "snack trap." (If you don't know what these are, they are like tupperware conatiners but the lid has cuts in it. The kids can reach their hands in for snacks but the snacks won't spill out.) Anyway, whenever I'm putting snacks in the kids' snack traps, Veronica declares, "no lid!" She's a big girl and can eat her snacks without spilling! :-)
We have slowly but surely getting ready for potty training. It seems like it's been over a year that we've talked about poop, pee, flushing, wiping, etc, etc! The kids have been coming to the bathroom with me for what seems like years! I'm gearing up mentally to do the three day "bootcamp" sometime in the next few months. (I need a lot of time to gear up!) My plan is to take the kids shopping for underwear, then a week or so later, let the kids go commando (no diaper, probably underwear and pants) for three days (spent largely outside) and let them figure out how to GO on the potty! My understanding is that if this doesn't work, they're not ready. Go back to diapers and try again later.
Anyway, we'll see how it goes... Here they are sitting on their new potties.
too cute. they almost look too big for their potty chairs lol. Good luck. Hope it works for you the first time and hope they both agree with the process lol
