Ugh! I'm home all day today. J woke up feeling pretty bad. So he kind of has an excuse. Both are just barely three years old so I suppose that's an "excuse" too! But they have been driving me NUTS!
They disagree with everything I say, everything the other says... they want this, want that, want, want, want! They will repeat something over and over until I say something (even "uh huh!")
Today in the car...
Me: We're going to pick up some Taco Bell and go home and eat lunch.
J: I'm not eating yunch (lunch). I'm eating dinner!
V: No, Yunch!
J: No, dinner!!
etc...
I turn left at a light heading home...
V: I don't want to go this way!
Me: This is one of the ways home.
V: No!
J (to V): Wahka, this is one of the ways home... (thanks for defending me, J!)
At breakfast this morning...
Me: Veronica, do you want cereal or a bagel?
V: Cereal
Silly me, I make her cereal...
V: I want a bagel!
Then she wants Craisens, then dried strawberries, more milk, etc., etc.!
UGH! Makes me want to scream sometimes! I just end up hitting the wall and saying, "NO MORE!" And under my breath, "I don't really care what you people want!! You're going to do/eat what I want!" Not under my breath I tell them on the way to nap that they are "PITAs!" If you don't know, that means "pain in the ass!" At least for now, they don't know what it means. But with my luck they'll tell someone in the grocery store that mommy thinks they're, "pitas." :-)
I'm thankful that they're currently sleeping... :-) Hopefully, J will feel better this afternoon.
I feel only a little bad saying that lately, there are days I wish I didn't have kids. I know we all feel that way sometimes, and it's normal. It's those days I'm happy that I have a part time job. :-)

It's those days when I envy your part time job! Maggie didn't start talking non-stop til she turned four. I felt somewhat validated last week when Andy looked at me after dinner and said, "I don't know how you do it!"
