Well, this is different. We went to the science center this morning - very fun. We got a late start so the kids were hungry and snacking on the drive home. Jackson had a ton of crackers. Veronica had a moderate amount of crackers and craisens. When we got home I asked them if they wanted to eat lunch or go straight to nap. Jackson told me definitively that he wanted to go straight to nap! Wow. I asked him a few more times. Yep - he wanted to go straight to nap. So he peed, we read a story, Veronica put some dollies in her bed to sleep, and we left him in his room. Veronica and I ate lunch and that was that! Weird.
After lunch V and I had to go in their room to get her lovey so I could put her down for a nap in my bed (by her choice, I let her choose where she wanted to sleep). J woke a bit when we walked in but he put his head back down and went back to sleep! Yay!
V on the other hand may or may not be sleeping in my bed right now. I'm hesitant to check on her too much in case she is awake and decides it would be more fun to join me than to sleep!
The toy "bribe" is not working anymore. Only worked for one night. I think the three nights of being quiet was too nebulous. So last night we told them they needed to be quiet for one night and they would get a toy the next morning. Didn't work. They (Jackson mostly) were loud and playing... We'll see what happens tonight...
V just called me into my room. She was not sleeping yet. She wanted to go in her room so we did but J woke up again. Sigh. This may be the end of today's nap for me! (Yes, they are for me!) Ahh well. Parenting is full of lessons! For the parents. And the kids.s
