"Weekend update"

Ha ha, love that skit from Saturday Night Live. Liked it best with Jimmy Fallon (one of my celebrity crushes...)

But anyway...

I'm exhausted from our weekend! Really NEED to go to bed NOW, even though the kids are still awake in their room!

Yesterday I ran in the morning and then we all went to a fun brunch party with two other twin families - very fun. Then Dick worked upstairs while I hung with the kids in the afternoon. They rode their bikes at Lake Miramar a bit. Then dinner and bed.

Today, I drove to our thrice-yearly, local family swap meet. This is a HUGE event with probably 200-300 vendors (families mostly) selling their old kid stuff in a high school parking lot. I set up the recycling program for the event. Then I shopped! Found a TON of princess and fairy-themed clothes for Veronica. Could hardly find ANY 4T boys clothes! But did get some awesome giant trucks for Jackson. And a few books, a card game set, a jewelry making set, some jams for Jackson, some trains, and I don't remember what else! Spent around $80 for a ton of stuff! Yay.

After that, I've been tired all day! Came home and fed the kids, put them down for nap, went grocery shopping, went to Home Depot to get gardening supplies, hung out with the kids, dinner, bath, bedtime, phew!

I won't even talk about the stuff I wanted to do but didn't get to. Maybe I'll have some time at work tomorrow... ;-) Someone I work with is retiring this week, and I need to finish writing the poem for her that I'm going to read at her party. And I also need to spend 30-45 min on the phone with US Airways trying to get plane tickets for J, V and I to fly to MI sometime this spring. Prices seem to be better than they have been... not that that is good! ;-)
