Aunt Shelley just left from her visit to San Diego. We had a really nice time!
The week went by so fast! We did get a chance to do some fun things - adults-only shopping trip, dinners out, a beach day. The kids had fun with Shelley, and Shelley was sweet with the kids. She didn't treat them like babies - she talked to them like they could understand what she was talking about - and most of the time they did!
Aunt Shelley was a great house guest, and hopefully felt at home given the fact that I'm not always the "hostess with the mostess" when I have two almost-four year olds to attend to as well. It was a little difficult to attend to my friend while my two kids vied for my attention! Thankfully, Shelley is like family so we can be ourselves around each other (for better or worse) and it's ok. :-)
