Silly Jackson

Today we were outside in the backyard, the kids and I.  I set them up with finger paints and the easel while I tried to get some yard work done.  A time or two each of the kids asked me to wash/wipe their hands and I told them to use the rag I put next to the easel.  (I wasn't right next to them so I couldn't see exactly what they were doing.)

Later, I noticed that someone wiped their paint-covered hands on the sweatshirt I had shed and put on the patio table!  I said, "Guys, did someone wipe their hands on my sweatshirt?  This isn't the rag."  And Veronica looked at me and smiled and said, "Sorry, mommy."  I told her it was ok and thank you for telling me that it was her who had done it.

Then Jackson says to me, "Sorry, mommy" admitting that he had done it too.  But I have a feeling he didn't.  He may have just wanted the kudos!  Goofball!

They are at the age where I really don't know whether they are telling the truth or not about some things.  I've tried teaching them about truth, lying, etc. but they just don't really get it yet!

  1. comprehension and understanding are so hard to teach. I think some kids never learn.... look at some of the liars running around... and they don't even know they are lying lol
