10 Randon Things for a Friday

Thanks, Becki, for the idea...  let's see if I can come up with 10!

1.  Dick's on the phone with his mom.  Our movie is paused.  If he talks too long I'll probably go to bed.  No biggie.  We can watch the rest tomorrow.  :-)

2.  The kids refer to snoring as "konk shhh's!"  Because that's the noise you make when snoring! 

3.  My cat Tony is not doing well.  He's 14, diabetic, and asthmatic.  Over the weekend I got really worried about him (puking, camping out with his head resting on the water bowl).  After a trip to the vet I reduced his insulin and he's doing better.  (Even though the vet was of the impression that it was Tony's time to leave this world.  I don't think he's quite ready yet.)

4.  My mom and nephew Christopher arrive in San Diego Tuesday!  C is staying 9 days.  Mom is staying for five weeks!  We have great plans for Legoland, maybe Sea World, maybe Aquatica water park.  Definitely the beach!

5.  Jackson and Veronica are still best friends and play great together 90% of the time.  :-)

6.  Their summer school teacher recently recommended that we separate them for preschool next year.  After I emailed her, and she talked to their last year teacher, she changed her mind.  She thought Jackson would do better with Veronica's company, and said that she and I would help Jackson make friends and be comfortable.

7.  Her specific comments were that Jackson wants to only play with Veronica.  The teacher said V and others will be playing and will invite J to play with them.  He won't want to and will be upset unless V plays ONLY with him.  :-(  But I think he was getting better just when school was ending.  (This was in their five week summer camp program.)  He is slow to warm up to new situations.

8.  Dick just brought in some pictures from summer school that he must have gotten from the teacher when he dropped the kids off yesterday morning.  I'm going to look at them as soon as I'm done with this.

9.  Two more...  hmmmm....  We have no real plans this weekend.  D will take the kids to swimming lessons tomorrow.  I'll run.  And do some cleaning.  Sunday I'll go to boot camp.  And Sunday night I'm babysitting for a friend's kids.

10.  Lastly, our latest home improvement project arrived in the mail today - skylights!  Dick will be installing three in our living room!!!  Yikes!  But it will be so great to finally have light in that room.  :-)

(Not proof-read...  D is off the phone so I'm getting back to our movie!)
