Right now I'm checking email while the rest of the family sleeps. I'll wake the kids soon as it's almost 8:00. I have heard of two twin-mom friends who've said their little ones are getting up at 5:00 am now after the time change! I'm SO thankful that J and V are late sleepers. (At least for now, maybe it will be less fun once they start school.)
This weekend should be both relaxing and slightly (at least) productive. Tonight Dick and I are going on a date. We were supposed to be going to a Positive Discipline workshop but it was canceled due to low enrollment. (Not enough people wanting to parent positively???) So we're keeping our free sitter (!) so we can go to - probably - dinner and a movie. Before our date, we have no plans! So we will probably have fun at home with some family time. And maybe Dick will install the new kitchen task lighting, and I'll do some touch-up paint.
Tomorrow we have dinner at our friends Chris and Judy's house. I'm supposed to bring dessert so maybe I'll volunteer the kids to help me make something! During the day tomorrow - also no plans! So probably some more work on the kitchen. Dick will also have to finish patching the hole in the drywall from the fixture we removed. Then we can texturize and paint the ceiling. THEN, we may be ready to move on to the floors... I hope we'll be ready for that soon!
It's raining today so not sure what we'll do with the kids for an activity. All the indoor fun places will be busy. I was thinking it might be fun to take them bowling soon!
I was supposed to go running but... too rainy! :-) But I'll try to find an alternative workout today. I'm trying to lose five pounds.
New brown color for the kitchen. Dick is finishing up the patch over the kitchen sink where we used to have an ugly task light. Will be installing some new track lighting that will reach over to the sink.
I love the brown. Unfortunately, between the blue tape and the fact that we didn't prime first, I have a lot of touch-up to do. The edges are terrible!
