Suddenly one day last week Veronica called me "ma" a few times. But she fell back into "mommy" shortly thereafter. Last night at dinner she and Jackson kept pointing at Dick and I saying, "That's my mom." "That's my dad." It was funny and kind of random - like most of the things they do!
We had a big disappointment this morning when we showed up at the YMCA for the kids' very first gymnastics class, and it was canceled! I was SO bummed! I've been looking forward to this for over a month! We told the kids the Y was broken (they had a power outage) so the kids were understanding. We played at the playground instead.
Life is good. We've been pretty lazy (as much as is possible with jobs and kids!) I joined a playgroup and I think it'll be really good for the kids to be around a larger crowd of people regularly, and around other kids. I figure it'll be a good first step to start preparing them for preschool - maybe this fall.
