I never thought this day would come but Veronica and Jackson are learning to ride bikes! Veronica prefers to ride the tricycle with the handlebar on back. She knows how to peddle but doesn't like to! When daddy took her for a ride the other day he said she kept looking back to make sure he was still pushing her! Little stinker...
Jackson has been riding his two-wheeled "balance bike." If you haven't seen one of these, they are two-wheeled bikes with no peddles. The kids "walk" along the sidewalk with their feet and sit on the seat. They start to learn to glide along. It's supposed to teach them balance so when they get a real bike with peddles, they don't need training wheels. It's an experiment - so we'll see how it works! Jackson is catching on really fast. He's been walking with it for a few weeks now. And he goes all the way to the park (about 4 blocks) and all the way around the block and through the canyon (up and down hills on woodchips!) He's now starting to let the bike glide under him - very cool!
They both look SUPER cute in their helmets! I'll post some pics as soon as daddy uploads them from his phone.

wow, that's pretty good for Jackson. Maggie surprised me this weekend when she was pedaling around on a big wheel or something like that. Olivia was getting the hang of it pretty quick too. Think you have to put a carrot in front of V so she doesn't look back lol
