Jackson rode a horse!
A few weekends ago we went to a party at a friend's ranch. She was allowing kids to ride her horse, Shawnee. The horse was described to me by someone else as "one step above dead!" - meaning, she's an old, slow and gentle horse.
Veronica was not interested, but Jackson rode her with another experienced rider. He did great! Here are some pics.

how sweet. Maggie's first ride was on a pony at the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival. The pony was attached to a center post with a 'spoke' kind of thing. She acted like she did it every day. And because she didn't think anything of it neither did we. Later I was thinking 'shouldn't someone have been next to her?'. I love when everything is so new and yet they expect to learn everything. :)
