Checking in

Let's see... what's new? Veronica and Jackson are teething. They're both getting a side incisor. And Jackson is getting his two front teeth. Veronica is not far behind. They have both woke a few times so far tonight crying. I think it's probably the teething... poor babies. The binky seems to help. Jackson was looking like he might stop using the binky in general but he started liking it again - I think because of the teething.

Veronica is starting to show interest in crawling. She has been seen starting to rock a bit on her hands and knees. And she's starting to move backwards.

We got a kiddie pool this weekend and filled it up. It holds about 10 inches of water. It was kind of cool (temperature)... but the kids found it interesting. Veronica was splashing! And Jackson was all over the place - we had to really keep our hands on him to keep his face above water. Next time I use it I'll plan to just have 1-2 inches of water in it - more water play than swimming.

Today both babies got their eyes checked for free from some state program. They look great. The doc thought Jackson was slightly far-sighted. But she said that was normal. She said they wouldn't need to be seen for another two years.

I should probably get to one or two of the things on my "to do" list before bed. I've been bad! I've had a few items on my list for a long time but keep doing everything but those things... distraction and the computer are just more fun!
