Our First Family Vacation (Part 3, last leg)

We arrived in Michigan around midnight Sunday. It was too late for cousins Sean and Christoper to still be awake but grandmama was anxious to see J & V! We got to see Christoper (at first nicknamed Topher and now we're trying "Tofu" on for size...) Monday. We got off to a good start for the week but Tuesday, Tofu didn't feel well... Wednesday, Jackson got a cold. Thursday or Friday, little Veronica got it and she got it worst of all... :-( Mommy was getting a little under the weather too. The babies were still sleeping pretty well (except Veronica the last two nights) but they weren't eating and drinking quite as well. And unfortunately, they weren't too excited about visiting and playing. They wanted to hang on mommy most of the week.

But we did find some opportunities to enjoy ourselves. Tofu was excited to find some toys for the babies that had been put away. Grandmama, myself and the babies walked around a very cool farmer's market for a while Thursday (grandmama "wore" Veronica in a front carrier). Oh, and Wednesday, Veronica, daddy and I went out to visit many of our relatives on my dad's side of the family. It was great to see them and get caught up! V & J did seem to remember everyone - they were just a little under the weather and, so, weren't quite themselves. It was unfortunate timing that they were sick while we were there. But did get to enjoy each other's company.

The plane ride back was like plane rides home usually are: kinda miserable. Veronica was feeling especially bad but did manage to fall asleep for a while. All in all, considering they were sick, they were pretty darn good. I've seen (heard) worse babies on planes!

Unfortunately, we didn't get very many photos while in Michigan. I'll have to find the few we have and post them another time.
