Yesterday Jackson took three steps! I couldn't quite see it but Dick did - Jackson was standing holding on to our sideboard in the dining room and he let go and walked to Dick! So exciting. :-)
Today, Veronica was little miss crabby and I asked her if she wanted to eat, making the sign for eat. And she made the sign back to me! It wasn't *quite* right but I'm sure it's what she meant. Of course, I immediately put her in her booster chair and sure enough she pigged out on tuna casserole, carrots, berries and cookies.
I've been quiet because we've been on vacation. We got back Saturday but we've all got colds now so I haven't had a chance to update our blog. I'll do so in the next week or so...

That's one of the reasons I don't like to fly. I always end up with something. It was really good to see you guys. I love when the kids sign. If you learn along with them you realize how much they are actually 'saying'. Really cool. And did you know about your 'bonus'? When kids start walking you automatically lose 5-10 pounds. Don't know how it works, but it does. Enjoy the new slimmer you. I wonder if since you have 2 then you'll lose twice as much lol. Get back to me on that.
ReplyDeleteso sweet, on both counts! when my boys sign, it's never the exact thing - i just interpret it like you did, and affirm their sign by signing and speaking the word, then getting whatever it was. i wish they had more - max in particular is really connecting with words now.
