"Reading" mommy's booksWe had our first incident of pee on the floor! (Why am I excited about this???) I had given both kids a bath (together!) and was expecting Dick to be home by the time they were done so he could help me get them out of the bath. But... he was late. So I got Veronica out, dried her quickly then got Jackson out. I put Jackson directly on the changing table to put his diaper on while Veronica waited her turn on the floor in their bedroom. And I looked over at her and she peed! It was pretty funny. She looked down to see what was going on. And I'm sure I exclaimed something and laughed! Then I promptly wiped up the pee since it was on our 5 year old Brazilian Cherry floor! I'm sure that floor and others in the house will see their fair share of pee as well - especially during potty-training!
just think, right now it's pee.... when the poo comes it kind of matches the hardwood... to an extent lol. It's so fun to watch them learn and experience new things. Even peeing... she was thinking 'what the heck? Where did that come from?' Too funny... Jackson's experience will be a little different lol

ReplyDeletewe have so much experience with pee (and more!) on the floor... i now bring training pants with us at bathtime and put them on so they can run around while i deal with the other kid. i got the trusty gerber ones at target. i have probably 16 pairs, and we use them a LOT - not only does it help them feel when they're wet, they're also handy when a squirmy toddler isn't ready for a diaper. i also use them a lot out in the yard. enjoy the pee pee fun! ;)
