I've been missing for a while because we'd had a lot going on. First, about two weeks ago I came down with a terrible stomach flu! I haven't had one since I was a kid, I think! I was seriously out of commission for 4 days, then felt crappy for another 3 days. Ick. Of course, these things never happen at a convenient time (convenient time for the flu, never!) Dick was supposed to work all weekend but I couldn't take care of the kids or do any of the cleaning, shopping and preparation I was supposed to do to prepare for our out of town guests. So, the nanny helped us out a lot and many of my tasks did not get done...
On March 23, our guests arrived! Dick's mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law all came to visit to celebrate grandma's birthday. We were lucky enough to have a neighbor with an (almost) empty house where they all stayed (no room at our inn). The kids had a nice time hanging out with family, and the family enjoyed spending time with the kids. It's fun to discover the little things they're doing now - saying lots of new words, mimicking us. (Lately, Veronica has been mimicking me blowing my nose! It's so funny, sounds like she's kissing the handkerchief!)
Anyway, we took a trip to the park, went to the Wild Animal Park, did a little sight-seeing and hung out at home. Veronica was especially enamored with Uncle Darren. :-) It was cute.

It's fun to watch how natural it is for them to flirt, isn't it? Sorry you had such a horrible flu. And isn't the tissue experience a wonderful reminder to watch everything you do in front of them.... they are watching you!
