Random Thoughts about the kids

1. Often lately when I ask the kids a question they say, "you tell me." It's one of those things that I've said to them for a long time, but it takes me weeks of them saying to realize where they got it! Also - much cuter when they say it than when I do. :-)

2. Jackson has been attached to me a lot lately. When we take walks he always wants to hold my hand. I'm enjoying it!

3. We have a new routine at night. I met with our behaviorist a few weeks ago and told her how both J and V always want to sit on my lap for our song before bed, and want me to put them in their beds, etc... not daddy. The behaviorist said daddies get left out sometimes because they are not with the kids as much, so we need to work harder to make sure daddy is part of our family. So, we trade off now every other night - one night is daddy's night to hold Jackson, the next night is daddy's night to hold Veronica, etc. It seems to work well. The kids tend to accept things if it's just the way it is, non-negotiable.

4. We're also trying to do more "alone time."

5. I'm shopping for preschools! I have a top two at the moment - will probably end up at one of these. Going to visit two more tomorrow. The two tomorrow are day care/preschools which I'm a little leery of. I'm leaning towards something that is only a preschool so the focus is on learning/teaching. The choice will probably end up being montessori vs play-based....?

6. The kids and I went to the library today. They do really well speaking quietly there. And they get really excited about picking out books. We have a few classics: Babar and Curious George. :-)

7. It was raining today but Jackson didn't want to wear his hood. He and Monkey were getting wet. But Veronica had her hood on AND she had Luli tucked into her jacket to her dry and cozy.
