Stuck

Jackson and Veronica were "partying like it was 1999" at naptime Saturday, so I put Jackson in mommy and daddy's bed to separate them. He played for a long time but finally fell asleep... Dick was outside trimming a tree and I was in the kitchen making dinner so we were out of earshot of both kids.

When it was time to wake them from nap I went into my bedroom to get Jackson up and saw that he was stuck! He was asleep with his legs stuck between the mattress and the footboard!



Poor little dude was sound asleep and totally stuck. I checked to make sure he was ok, then tried to wake him but he was really asleep. I grabbed him under the arms and tried to pull him out but couldn't at first. Then I tried to move the mattress up a little and finally was able to pull him out.

He was upset and a little grumpy when he woke up. I felt terrible because I imagined him crying for help and no one answering because we couldn't hear him! I asked him if he called for mommy and he said, "No, I just cried." :-( So sad...
