Random Tuesday Thoughts

Let's see... what can I come up with?

I started my new work schedule today. I'm switching my day off. It used to be Wednesday but I'm taking Fridays off for a few months so the kids and I can take a class on Fridays. It's a free parent/child class from 9-12 (don't have to stay the whole time). They do crafts, songs, there's a speaker for moms, and they teach the kids vocab verbally and in sign language. :-) I'm looking forward to it!

My mom's coming to visit! She'll be here Feb 6-14. It'll be a really nice time - it'll be nice to have another set of hands around with me. We can maybe take on some trips to the zoo, museum, etc. And she'll be really excited to see the kids.

My friend is having twins today! She texted me this morning that today's the day. Haven't heard anything since but I'm sure she's busy. Hopefully, everything went well and they're all resting. I guess I could call the hospital to see if they're there. And maybe send some flowers. Or maybe I'll wait til she gets home so her hubby doesn't have one more thing to carry from the hospital to the house! But I want to do something to make her feel special.

Dick's getting Subway for dinner. Can't wait for him to get back!

We're having a winter storm. A real one this time. We've actually gotten quite a bit of rain and wind. The umbrella over our lawn furniture tipped over. Hopefully, it didn't break the glass tabletop. And a plant fell over on the porch. We're never prepared for this type of weather here b/c we practically never get it. I'm glad that was the extent of our damage - so far.

I hear Dick in the driveway... off to eat dinner!
