Last night Dick and I celebrated our wedding anniversary (10-12-02). A fellow twin mom came over to babysit after the babies went to sleep (we trade babysitting). Dick and I had a nice evening out just the two of us. It felt a little weird but it also felt normal... like "normal" used to be! We were alone together a lot longer than we've had kids so sometimes having kids actually feels strange and being alone feels "normal."
But anyway, we had a nice dinner, then walked around the mall a little. We played a few shoot 'em out arcade games at the mall arcade. :-) Then we went to Target for candy and couldn't help looking at baby toys! Then we saw the romantic comedy, "Couples Retreat" with Vince Vaughn. It was cute. Typical but cute. If it makes me laugh out loud, I'm happy.
Overall, very nice. We are supposed to do date night once a month but it's been 2 or more. We'll be better about scheduling these in the future!
To answer some questions about Wordless Wednesday, Jackson is standing on our Baby Einstein jumperoo. And Veronica is sitting on their bucket of blocks. But I thought it was funny that she looks like she's sitting on the pot! :-)
Today we're going to the free trial of a baby music/motion class at Gymboree. Should be fun! Not sure we'll have a free hand for pictures, though. ;-)

it's really hard to get a night out. We always tried to get a weekend away once a year. And usually succeeded.
