- My day off (Wednesday) was nice and long... so long that it felt like Monday when I went into work today. It seemed like so long since I was there, I forgot what I needed to do!
- I put the babies to bed by myself today for the first time in a long time. Usually Dick is home at bedtime.
- We're preparing for a long winter (I know, "winter" in San Diego?) on the couch - we just got Netflix AND cable - in the same week! We just got basic cable for the reception. We were only getting 3 or 4 channels regularly and had to sit in just the right spot to occasionally get a few other channels.
- Speaking of TV, tonight is my favorite night - Parks and Recreation, The Office and 30 Rock are on.
- I'm trying to cook more. Last night I made baked apples and chicken quesadillas. Tonight I sauteed some chard. Earlier in the week I made potato leek soup in the crock pot.
- Dick is off next week. I have a list already of all the things I want to do - some fun, some productive. There's NO way we'll get it all in. We'll have to prioritize. But I want to intentionally decide what we're doing, not let the week slip by. I'm off Thursday and my usual Wednesday.
- We're spending Thanksgiving with our friends Chris and Judy and Chris' mom, three sisters and their families. It'll be chaotic fun!
- Dick recently re-built the plate rail and colonnades in our living room. (They existed back in the day but had long been removed, unfortunately.) This week we just finished the staining and oiling. It looks great!
- Maybe that's enough randomness for one night. :-)

wow! you have quite a random life going on. Happy Thanksgiving if I don't get a chance to say it again before next week. We're gearing up to print and mail tax bills so lots to do at work.
