Well, it's been a great week! Dick had the week off work involuntarily but has been glad to be here. (His company made everyone take the week off - either using vacation time or unpaid. Thanks a lot...) So Monday he was Mr. Mom and stayed home with the kids while I went to work. Tuesday the nanny came and Dick actually had to work half the day and I worked the morning, then Dick and I met for lunch - just the two of us, just like old times. We got Chinese food. Then Tuesday night we had my "little sister" from the local twin's club and her husband over for dinner. They're expecting twins in January and Dick and I are trying to help them in any way we can.
Wednesday is my usual day off so Dick and I were both home. We took the kids up to my workplace to meet everyone. It was fun to show them off. They were really cute walking in every direction, peeking in cubes and charming people everywhere! Thursday, of course, was Thanksgiving day. We took the kids to the park in the early afternoon and they took two great naps during the day. That allowed them to seriously "partay!" at our friends' Chris and Judy's house. There was a large crowd there including six other kids. J and V got to bed 3 hours past their bedtime!
Friday, Dick was Mr. Mom again while I worked six hours. When I got home we took the kids to the park. They only had one nap today so they were totally pooped by 5 pm! They weren't interested at all in dinner - just wanted to go to bed. So they were down by 5:30! And now here I am...
Dick and I have been good at working out this week. I ordered Gillian Michael's 30-day Shred so we're doing that every day (at least we have so far for two days in a row! Does that count as "every day?!") It's a 20 min workout. Who can't find 20 minutes a day, right? I'd like to "shred" about 3-5 lbs. We'll see how it goes. I did have pizza and chocolate covered raisins for dinner.
Anyway, the kids have been great as usual! Jackson has started barking like a dog - very cute. Both are walking great! Although, they both had decent bumps on their heads this week - oops.
