Sleep update on last night

Well, let's see... I put them to bed around 5:20 because they were CRABBY! They cried out probably 3-4 times between 5:50 and 8 - each time I went in there they were both awake. They had trouble falling asleep clearly! One time I went in their room, picked up Jackson, bounced/swayed him to sleep, Veronica fell asleep on her own (so J must have been the one keeping her awake!)... I put him down and he woke up!!

Dick moved the rocking chair in their room so I then rocked Jackson to sleep a little later and he finally stayed asleep. Must have been close to 9!? I don't know, can't remember now!

So, in summary... I think putting them to bed early may have worked but I think something was bothering Jackson and that's why he couldn't fall asleep - teething, didn't feel well, "wonder week" or something...? And he was keeping Veronica awake.

Ah dear. Well, today is my day off so let's hope naps go well!

We're also having our new nanny over this afternoon to train and spend time with the babies. We hired Graciela. She goes by Chela which I think is so sweet! She is a mom and has been a nanny for two sets of twin girls for many years. She speaks english and spanish so we're thinking we may have her speak spanish to the babies a little. :-) I hope it works out!! I feel good about her, though.

  2. awesome! i had to put mine to bed 30 minutes early tonight - they were losing it for hours! i'm hoping it's not going to mean a 5am wake up, but won't be surprised. they consistently sleep 10 hours a night. it's a total guessing game, isn't it?

good luck with Chela. she sounds like a good fit!

  3. Good luck with the new nanny. Good help is so hard to find and you really want someone that will stay with them for a long period of time.
